The first launch of this program in Uyo was in 2017 where 50 interns came out successful at the end of the program out of the over 500 registered interns.
One of the challenges faced by the interns in 2017 was lack of gadgets to participate fully in the coding session. It is believed that with the Akwa Ibom State government’s support to these interns in the coming internship such challenges will be waved.
The link for the registration is open and young people are required to register before Friday the 10th of August, 2019.
Emails will be forwarded to the successful candidates before the commencement of the internship program.
As the drive to electrify the tech ecosystem in Nigeria Niger Delta intensifies, government at various levels should do their best to get their citizens involved in the coming tech revolution in the region.
