National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) through the Office for ICT Innovation and Entrepreneurship (OIIE) have concluded plans to host the 12th edition of StartUP Friday in Enugu State as NITDA completes the last round of igniting the 6 Geopolitical regions.
StartUP Friday is a component of StartUP Café designed to bridge startup growth gab by enriching the development processes of new tech-driven businesses through “meet-up” with successful entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, technology buyers and enthusiasts in major tech clusters across Nigeria. It is a gathering of critical tech development community to facilitate networking and exchange of ideas and information such as business financing, marketing, pitch preparation support, tech products and services etc.
Expectedly, StartUP Friday in Enugu will be hosted in collaboration with hubs and universities in the South-East and it is targeted at bringing together the regional ecosystem stakeholders and also identify innovators to be further supported by NITDA.
Recall that during same event last year in Uyo, Budgetier App, a proposed Application for Event Planning, Budgeting & Execution developed by Damilola Omoyiwola, a female developer with Start Innovation Hub came tops at the StartUP Friday Uyo 2018, held in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital in March same year. The idea received a grant of 300 thousand naira and an open door to funds from investors.
