As the tech ecosystem continues its expansion in Akwa Ibom and its environs, more communities are daily springing up to balance the unlimited opportunities in the sector.  Sometimes in September this year, Ized Uanikhehi came down to Uyo to train young people in Akwa Ibom State on Digital Marketing and the skills required to be known as a digital Marketer. At the end of the three-day training, a new community was launched as DigiClan Uyo which was an extension of DigiClan Africa already launched in Lagos. Uyo however, was the second community after Lagos.

DigiClan is a community of Digital Marketers who constantly come together to learn, share and motivate each other within the community. It is a community of people working in the same industry committed to the growth of the Industry, to learn from each other, to collaborate, to foster networking between members, to Inspire growth in the Industry and set standards that will ensure that they all grow together.

While explaining what we refer to an ecosystem in tech, I made mention of communities.  One of such communities is the DigiClan Africa. A community is a group of people working together on a particular idea and segment within the industry.  ICT offers several opportunities to young people and through these communities, young people have access to the required tools to keep them up to date in their different careers within the industry.

To achieve the aim in the Digital Marketing Community, DigiClan Uyo will be hosting her summit at Start Innovation Hub located at the Ibom e-library on Saturday, the 9th of December, 2017 by 11am.

Iddy Brown, the Lead in Uyo informed techforest.ng that the summit is equipped to educate Digital Marketers on the latest tools within the industry to help members do their work with ease.  Great personalities in the industry are expected to share their experiences and strategies with upcoming Digital Marketers within the community.  Ized Uanikhehi of CNN Africa and the convener of DigiClan Africa will be on ground to mentor Clanners same day.

The summit however is expected to be first of its kind as Start Innovation Hub hosts the Expanded Community Meetup. This means Facebook Developer Circle – a community of Facebook developers with Digi Clan Uyo will be hosting an Expended Community Meetup at the stated venue. “Here, we will be given some cool expo on FACEBOOK BLUEPRINT, DIGITAL MARKETING, DEVELOPER BEST PRACTICES, GENESIS OF PROGRAMMING (for newbies) and lots more.” A post on the Facebook event planner states.
